Antique Louis Vuitton Lily Pons 30 pair shoe trunk

1930s Antique Louis Vuitton shoe trunk for 30 pairs of shoes. This model was named after the famous french actress and singer Lily Pons.

The story goes she turned to Gaston-Louis Vuitton (the son of Louis Vuitton and asked him to built a trunk to carry a part of her shoe collection when travelling.

This is what they came up with, and it became a classic, iconic model, most sought aftere by collectors.

Miss Lily Pons was born the southern part of France in 1898 and moved to the USA later in her career. She recorded many albums and motion pictures.

It has C.S.O. initials on top of the trunk, these belong to a previous owner.

The trunk has two leather handles to carry it. The weight is around 60kgs. Size : 61x112x40cm.
