a lovely, small monogram coffee table trunk by Louis Vuitton, approx 1910,
It has 3 removable trays inside for shoes. On both sides it has MVP initials in red paint on a black base.
On the left lock the latch is missing.
Sold by John Wanamaker who was LV’s sole representative for New York and Philadelphia at the time.
